These online outlet stores are usually special sections on their traditional websites labeled as “outlet store” or “clearance.” These special sale sections will have their own departments like on their traditional website but the prices have been significantly marked down.

While outlet stores and outlet malls first became popular in the United States and Canada, they are finding themselves quickly gaining a market in the European Union and other parts of the world. There are even outlet malls opening up in Asia, including Japan, China, and Hong Kong.
